Introduction to Sociology

Course Description

This course is designed to introduce students with sociological concepts and the discipline, range of basic sociological principles so student can identify his sociological imagination. Student will identify about the origins of sociology as a discipline, and some major sociological theories. Student can discuss the topics of gender, deviance, and racism. The focus of the course shall be on significant concepts like social systems and structures, socio-economic changes and social processes. By making vivid the social basis of everyday life, sociology also develops critical thinking by revealing the social structures and processes that shape diverse forms of human life
